                                                                                                <abstract><p>Küreselleşme aleyhtarlarının belki de en fazla üzerinde durdukları konulardan birisi olan iklim değişiklikleri ile onun doğa ve çevre üzerinde yaptığı tahribat, zamanla ülkeleri katı fosil yakıt kullanımından vazgeçirmiş ve yenilenebilir enerji tüketimi kullanımında önemli oranda artışlara sebep olmuştur. Bununla beraber yenilenebilir enerji kullanımında yaşanan artışların, ekonomik büyüme açısından ne gibi etkileri olduğu sorusu da cevap aramaya başlamıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, 1995-2018 yılları arasındaki dönem için, OECD ülkelerinde yenilenebilir enerji kullanımı ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Çalışmada kullanılan değişkenler öncelikle durağanlık testleri ile analize tabi tutulmuş ve ortaya çıkan durağanlığın yapısına göre de Westerlund (2008) eşbütünleşme analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Akabinde yenilenebilir enerji kullanımı ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki, Dumitrescu-Hurlin (2012) nedensellik analizi ile araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın geneli itibariyle yapılacak değerlendirmeye göre; yenilenebilir enerji kullanımına ekonomik büyümeye doğru bir nedensellik ilişkisi görülmezken, ekonomik büyümeden yenilenebilir enerji kullanımına doğru (tek yönlü) bir nedensellik ilişkisi bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.</p></abstract>
