PNÖMONEKTOMİ LOJUNDA RADYOTERAPİYE SEKONDER GELİŞEN SARKOM

Abstract

Radyasyonun sebep olduğu s arkomlar nadir görülen geç komplikasyonlardır. Genellikle tedaviden 5-10 yıl sonra gelişir. Radyasyonun yol açtığı solid tümörlerin Hodgkin hastalığı, meme kanseri ve prostat kanseri tedavisi için radyoterapi alan hastalarda görüldüğü rapor edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte akciğer kanserinin radyoterapi ile tedavisinin ardından gelişen sarkom vakaları literatürde sayılıdır. Skuamöz hücreli akciğer karsinomu tanısı ile pnömonektomi ameliyatı yapılmış, radyoterapi uygulanan ve bu tedaviden 15 yıl sonra sağ omuz ağrısı ile başvuran hastanın, bilgisayarlı toraks tomografisinde pnömonektomi lojunda kalsifiye kitle lezyon saptandı. Transtorasik true-cut biyopsi sonucu sarkom olarak rapor edildi. Bu vakayı, pnömonektomi lojunda radyoterapiye sekonder sarkom gelişmesi ve nadir görülmesi sebebi ile yayınlamayı uygun gördük.

RADIATION INDUCED SARCOMA OF THE PNEUMONECTOMY

Abstract

Radiation i nduced sa rcoma is a late and very rare complication of radiotherapy. It usually occurs 5 to 10 years following radiotherapy. Radiation induced solid tumors were reported in patients irradiated for HodgkinÕs disease, breast cancer and prostatic cancer. In addition to this, sarcoma cases were rarely reported in the literature following radiotherapy for lung cancer. The patient was admitted with complaint of right shoulder pain, 15 years after radiotherapy to pneumonectomy pouch in an surgically resected squamous cell lung cancer. On her thorax computed tomography a calcified mass lesion was detected. Transthoracic true-cut biopsy were performed and reported as sarcoma. Our case was reported as a rare sarcoma, which occurred at the pneumonectomy pouch after adjuvant radiation therapy to pneumonectomy pouch of squamous cell lung cancer.
