Küresel Finansal Kriz Öncesi ve Sonrasında Türkiye'de Bankacılık Sektörünün Performansı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada
2005:Ç1-2013:Ç4 dönemi için son küresel finansal krizin BIST'te işlem gören 15
Türk bankasının performansı üzerindeki etkileri panel veri modeliyle
incelenmiştir. Tüm dönem için tahmin sonuçları genel olarak banka büyüklüğü,
kredi riski, fonlama riski, iflas riski, gelir çeşitlendirme, banka sermayesi
ve etkinsizlik düzeyi gibi değişkenlerin banka performansının anlamlı
kestiricileri olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Tahmin sonuçları kriz öncesi dönem
için değerlendirildiğinde, kredi riski ve gelir çeşitliliği ile banka
performansı arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kriz sonrası
döneme ilişkin analiz sonuçları banka performansı ile likidite riski,  iflas riski ve banka sermayesi gibi
değişkenler arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğunu göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak,
bulgularımız göstermektedir ki son küresel finansal krizin banka performansının
belirleyicileri üzerinde önemli etkileri bulunmaktadır.
