                                                                                                <abstract><p>Thisquantitative study discussed the role of e-training in the improvement of theprofessional development of faculty members at Imam Muhammad bin Saud IslamicUniversity. The problem is that there is a lack of willingness on the part of lecturersto participate in these courses because of the resistance to change into e-learningand the preference for traditional education. Along with the existence of someobstacles to the professional development of the faculty member. The researcherchose the descriptive analytical method and designed a questionnaire consistingof (40) paragraphs covering four axes of professional development. Thequestionnaire was distributed to a sample of (50) lecturers and professors atthe university. The results have shown that training plays a major role in thedevelopment of professional development. The development of technicaldevelopment, the development of educational professional growth, and thedevelopment of academic development have been significant. Whileself-development was medium. This finding underscores the importance ofelectronic training for faculty academic members.</p></abstract>
