Abstract

Müzik bilimleri içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan piyano alanına ilişkin Web of Science [WoS] veri tabanında yayınlanan makalelerin literatür incelemesi yapılmıştır. WoS’da ilgili alanda nitelikli bir araştırmanın nasıl ortaya koyulabileceği problemi çerçevesinde güncel çalışmaların üretilmesi, araştırmalar arasında sürdürülebilir bağın kurulması yönünden araştırmacılara zihin haritası sunmak önemlidir. Piyano alanında yayınlanan makalelerin niteliklerinin belirlenmesi, yapılacak olan çalışmalara etkin olarak yön verilmesi ve araştırmacılara rehberlik edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Problem ve alt problemler doğrultusunda istatistiksel verilere ulaşmak amacıyla nicel bir araştırma yöntemi olan bibliyometri kullanılmıştır. Müzik konusunda bütün araştırma alanlarında 13979 kayıt, müzik/müzik araştırmaları kategorisinde 10903 yayın ve piyano alanında 2067 makale ortaya çıkmıştır. Piyano alanına ilişkin ülkelerin ortak yazarlık işbirliği incelendiğinde az sayıda coğrafi komşuluğa dayalı uluslararası işbirlikleri bulunmuştur (Avusturya-Belçika). Zaman serisi tahmin modeline göre 2022 yılında 42 (Güven Aralığı: GA % = 19-64) makale, 2026 yılında ise 41 (CI % = 16-66) makalenin yayınlanacağı tahmin edilmiştir. Trend konuları belirlemek için yapılan analize göre en çok kullanılan anahtar kelimeler sırasıyla piyano, piyano pedagojisi, müzik eğitimi, piyano performansı, performans ve müzik analizidir. Bu bulgular ışığında literatürün aksine ülkelerin ortak yazarlık işbirliğinde coğrafi komşuluğa dayalı uluslararası işbirliklerinin makale üretiminde etkili olmadığı; önümüzdeki beş yıllık süreçte piyano konusundaki makale sayısının yatay bir eğilim göstereceği; çalışılan konu alanı ile belirlenen anahtar kelimelerin birbiriyle doğrudan ilişkili olduğu sonuçlarına varılmıştır. Bu makale, müzik alanında çalışan bilim adamları ve öğrencileri için piyanonun küresel çıktısı hakkında yararlı bir kaynak olabilir.

BIBLIOMETRIC EVALUATION OF ARTICLES ON PIANO BASED ON WEB OF SCIENCE DATABASE

Abstract

In this study, a literature review of articles published in the Web of Science [WoS] database regarding the field of piano, which has an important place in musical sciences, was conducted. It is important to present a mind map to researchers in terms of producing current studies and establishing a sustainable link between researches within the framework of the problem of how a qualified research can be put forward in the related field in WoS. It is aimed to determine the qualifications of the articles published in the field of piano, to give effective direction to the studies to be done and to guide the researchers. In order to reach statistical data in line with the problem and sub-problems, bibliometrics, which is a quantitative research method, was used. There were 13979 recordings in all music research areas, 10903 publications in the music/music research category and 2067 articles in the field of piano. When the co-authorship cooperation of the countries in the field of piano is examined, few international cooperations based on geographical neighborhoods were found (Austria-Belgium). According to the time series estimation model, it is estimated that 42 (Confidence Interval: CI % = 19-64) articles will be published in 2022, and 41 (CI % = 16-66) articles will be published in 2026. According to the analysis made to determine the trend topics, the most used keywords are piano, piano pedagogy, music education, piano performance, performance and music analysis, respectively. In the light of these findings, contrary to the literature, it is stated that international collaborations based on geographical neighborhood are not effective in the production of articles in co-authorship cooperation of countries; the number of articles on piano will show a horizontal trend in the next five years; It has been concluded that the keywords determined by the subject area studied are directly related to each other. This article can be a useful source for scientists and students working in the field of music to obtain remarkable information about articles published in the field of piano internationally.
