                                                                                                <abstract><p>Vibration formulation is presented for axially compressed nano beam embedded in elastic matrix. The effect oflength scale is investigated using nonlocal elasticity theory. The governing equations are obtained by using theHamilton’s principle. Finite element formulations have been achieved for nonlocal Euler–Bernoulli beamtheory.
