<p>The present study aimed to examine the relationships among social media addiction, sleep disturbances, and mental well-being in adults, as well as to assess the direct effects of social media addiction on sleep quality and mental well-being. The increasing use of social media can negatively impact individuals’ behavioral and emotional processes, leading to impaired sleep quality and reduced mental well-being. The study employed a quantitative relational survey design, with a sample consisting of 355 adults aged 18 and above. Data were collected using the Social Media Addiction Scale–Adult Form (SMAS-AF), the Troya Sleep Scale (TSS), the Warwick–Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS), and a sociodemographic questionnaire. Pearson correlation and simple linear regression analyses indicated that social media addiction exerted a moderate positive effect on sleep disturbances and a low negative effect on mental well-being. Prolonged social media use was also observed to reinforce addictive tendencies. Overall, social media addiction is a multidimensional phenomenon that adversely affects sleep quality and mental well-being, providing an important empirical foundation for interventions aimed at managing digital addiction, promoting responsible media use, and supporting psychological health.</p></trans-abstract>
