In this study, it was aimed to adapt The Achievement Emotions
Questionnaire for Pre-Adolescents (AEQ-PA) scale developed by Peixoto, Mata,
Monteiro, Sanches and Pekrun (2015) to Turkish in order to determine the
feelings of success of primary school fourth grade students towards mathematics
class and test. The original scale consisted of two scales, each consisting of
24 items, with six emotions evaluated in each version and prepared as a 5-point
Likert scale. The validity and reliability studies of the scale were conducted
on 500 fourth grade students using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The fit
indexes showed that the factor structure of the scale provided the desired
level of fit indexes with the collected data. The reliability values of the
scale were calculated as> .70. As a result, it can be said that the original
structure of the scale is preserved as it is, and according to the findings, a
valid and reliable measurement tool for determining the feelings of achievement
of the fourth grade students in mathematics class and test is adapted to
Turkish.
