Bu çalışmada cezaevinde çalışan ‘infaz koruma memuru ve psikolog’ görüşlerinden hareketle Türkiye’de cezaevlerinde bulunan göçmen mahkûmların ‘sosyal uyum durumları ve sosyal çatışmaya yatkınlık düzeyleri’ tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Adana ilinde bulunan 2 cezaevinde yapılan bu alan çalışmasında 15 infaz koruma memuru ve 6 psikolog ile derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre, göçmen mahkûmların cezaevine sosyal uyumunu zorlaştıran problemlerin başında ‘dil bilmemek, parasızlık, ayrımcılık, aile bireyleriyle ile iletişim eksikliği, madde bağımlılığı, cezaevi kuralları, cezaevinin kapalı yapısı ve toplu yaşamdan kaynaklı uyumsuzluk” gelmektedir. Elde edilen verilere göre, yabancı uyruklu göçmen mahkûmların ‘sosyal çatışma ve saldırganlık düzeylerinin düşük olduğu; sosyal çatışma ve saldırganlıktan kaçındıkları; cezaevindeki memurlar ve mahkûmlarla büyük oranda sorun yaşamadıkları’ tespit edilmiştir. Göçmen mahkûmların sosyal uyum ve sosyal çatışmaya yatkınlıklarını ölçmek için yapılmış bu çalışmaya destek olmak ve verileri güçlendirmek amacıyla göçmen mahkûmların görüşlerini de içeren ayrı bir araştırmanın yapılması önerilmektedir.
In this study, based on the views of ‘correctional officers and psychologists’ working in prisons, an attempt was made to determine the ‘social adaptation status and level of susceptibility to social conflict’ of immigrant inmates in prisons in Turkey. In this field study, conducted in two prisons in Adana Province, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 correctional officers and 6 psychologists. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. According to the data obtained as a result of the research, ‘not having command of the language, lack of money, discrimination, lack of communication with family members, substance abuse, prison rules, closed structure of the prison and incompatibility due to collective life are the main problems that make the social adaptation of immigrant prisoners difficult. According to the data obtained, it was determined that foreign immigrant prisoners “have low levels of social conflict and aggression; they avoid social conflict and aggression; and they do not have many problems with prison officers and inmates.” It is recommended that a separate study including the views of immigrant prisoners be conducted to support and strengthen the data of this study conducted to measure the social adaptation and social conflict tendencies of immigrant prisoners.
