                                                                                                <abstract><p>Theobjective of the present study is to find out whether there is a significantdifference between the frequencies with which the midwives and nurses workingin hospitals are exposed to mobbing depending on various variables. The sampleof the study comprised 270 midwives (n=76) and nurses (n=194) working in aUniversity Hospital. In the study, the “Scalefor Determining the Mobbing Behaviors” in the form of a Likert scale was used.In order to determine the reliability of the scale, its Cronbach Alpha valuewas calculated. The internal consistency value was found to be 94.22.It was determined that the scores concerning the scale for the level of mobbingdiffered depending on whether the person is a midwife or a nurse (p&amp;lt;.05). Itwas determined that the scores obtained in the scale for the level of mobbingdid not differ depending on the age and total period of employment of themidwives and nurses (p&amp;gt;.05). It was found out that the level the midwiveswere subjected to mobbing was higher than that the nurses were subjected to. In analyzing this data, the frequency distribution,t-test and ANOVA analyses were performed.</p></abstract>
