                            <p>Organizations expect from their employees to display an impression of emotion in according tot heir predetermined objectives. Emotional effort that employees exhibit into to show emotions that fit these objectives called “emotional labor”. Some negative consequences can arise when the real feelings of employee and the emotion employee exhibited are not compatible. One of these results and perhaps the most negative is burnout. The relationship between emotional labor and burnout has been explored since the 1980s. Today, with the increase in the transition to the service sector, studies on this subject have increased. However, studies are still not considered sufficient to explain the relationship. In this context, this study aims to reveal the relationship between emotional labor and burnout.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Örgütler, çalışanların daha önceden belirlenmiş hedeflerine uygun duygu gösterim biçimi sergilemesini beklemektedir. Çalışanların bu hedeflere uygun duygu göstermek için girdikleri duygusal çabaya “duygusal emek” adı verilmektedir. Çalışanın hissettiği ile sergilediği duygular birbirine uyumlu olmadığında bazı olumsuz sonuçlar ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Bu sonuçlardan birisi ve belki de en olumsuzu tükenmişliktir.Duygusal emek ve tükenmişlik ilişkisi 1980’lerden bu yana araştırılmaktadır. Günümüzde hizmet sektörüne geçişin artmasıyla birlikte bu konuda çalışmalar artış göstermiştir. Ancak yapılan çalışmalar hala ilişkinin açıklanması için yeterli görülmemektedir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmada duygusal emek ve tükenmişlik ilişkisinin ortaya koyulması amaçlanmıştır.</p></abstract>
