THE EFFECT OF FAMILY-RELATED WORK ENRICHMENT ON WORK-RELATED OUTCOMES: A PATH ANALYSIS

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of family-related work enrichment on work-related outcomes. In this context, the study was conducted using the questionnaire technique. Among the sampling techniques, 402 health workers were reached by convenience sampling method. The healthcare professionals participating in the study work as physicians, nurses, and midwives. The study was conducted in Antalya province. In the context of work-related outcomes, Job Satisfaction, Affective Commitment, Turnover Intention, Job Performance, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior towards Organization were the study subjects. Although there are detailed studies on the effect of work enrichment on work outcomes in the international literature, there is no comprehensive model study similar to this study in the national literature. In this respect, it is evaluated that the study will contribute to the field, especially in the context of national literature. According to the study results, family-related work enrichment positively and significantly affects job satisfaction, affective commitment, job performance, and organizational citizenship behavior towards the organization. The effect of family-related work enrichment on turnover intention is negative and significant. As a result, the five hypotheses developed in the study were supported, and the findings were discussed in the context of the literature.

AİLEDEN KAYNAKLI İŞ ZENGİNLEŞMESİNİN İŞLE İLGİLİ ÇIKTILAR ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ: BİR YOL ANALİZİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, aileden kaynaklı iş zenginleşmesinin işle ilgili çıktılar üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu kapsamda anket tekniği kullanılarak çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Örnekleme tekniklerinden kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile 402 sağlık çalışanına ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan sağlık çalışanları hekim, hemşire ve ebe olarak görev yapmaktadır. Çalışma Antalya ilinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. İşle ilgili çıktılar bağlamında İş Tatmini, Duygusal Bağlılık, İşten Ayrılma Niyeti, İş Performansı ve Örgüte Yönelik Örgütsel Vatandaşlık Davranışı değişkenleri araştırmaya konu edilmiştir. Uluslararası yazında, iş zenginleşmesinin iş çıktılarına yönelik etkisi üzerine detaylı çalışmalar olmakla birlikte, ulusal yazında bu çalışmadakine benzer kapsamlı bir model çalışmasına rastlanılmamıştır. Bu doğrultuda özellikle ulusal yazın bağlamında çalışmanın alana katkı sunacağı değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre, aileden kaynaklı iş zenginleşmesinin iş tatmini, duygusal bağlılık, iş performansı ve örgüte yönelik örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı üzerinde pozitif ve anlamlı etkileri tespit edilmiştir. Aileden kaynaklı iş zenginleşmesinin işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisi ise negatif ve anlamlıdır. Sonuç olarak çalışmada geliştirilen 5 hipotezde desteklenmiş ve elde dilen bulgular alan yazın bağlamında tartışılmıştır.
