                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Thereis a strong relationship between the social type concept in sociology andcinema. We can see representations of various social types in cinema films. Aimof this study is to examine the relationship between the social type concept insociology and origins of social types in classically narrated Turkishfilms. After a general introduction,social type concept in sociology will be discussed first. Second, classicalnarrative structure will be examined. Then, we will examine character and typein cinema films. Finally, we will examine origins of social types in Turkishcinema.</p></abstract>
