                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı öz-yeterlik ve denetim odağının birlikte akademik erteleme davranışını ne kadar yordayabildiğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında Orta Karadeniz Bölgesinde yer alan bir ildeki 4 farklı devlet okulunda 6, 7 ve 8. sınıfa devam eden, 167’si kız ve 162’si erkek olmak üzere toplamda 329 ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veriler; Muris (2001) tarafından geliştirilen ve Telef (2011) tarafından Türkçe’ye uyarlanan Çocuklar İçin Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği, Nowicki ve Strickland (1973) tarafından geliştirilen ve Öngen (2003) tarafından uyarlanan İç-Dış Denetim Odağı Ölçeği, Çakıcı (2003) tarafından geliştirilen Akademik Erteleme Ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen kişisel bilgi formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Analizler için SPSS ve AMOS kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre akademik erteleme davranışı öz-yeterlik ile denetim odağı tarafından anlamlı olarak yordanmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular ilgili alanyazın bilgileri ışığında tartışılmış ve öneriler sunulmuştur.</p></abstract>
