<p>Objectives: Starting in early 2020, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) began to spread worldwide, with the first confirmed case in Turkey on March 11, 2020. Following the implementation of the &#039;stay at home&#039; policy, a significant decrease in the use of pediatric emergency services by COVID-19 negative patients was observed. This study aims to investigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on patient management, demographic characteristics, and diagnoses in pediatric emergency departments, to improve healthcare delivery for children in similar future situations.Materials and Methods: This retrospective study involved non-trauma patients aged 0-18 who presented to the Pediatric Emergency Department of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital. Data were collected from the hospital’s electronic record system for patients who visited between March 11, 2019, and March 11, 2021. Demographic data, admission seasons, diagnoses, and management of patients were analyzed. Results: When comparing the demographic data before and after the pandemic, there was no significant difference in gender. However, the number of admissions in the 12-18 age group increased significantly during the pandemic period (p</p></trans-abstract>
