The International Journal of Tokat Medical Sciences, formerly known as the Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine Journal, began publishing all academic articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC 4.0) license in June 2025.
The journal is open access, and all content is made available free of charge to the user or their institution. Users may read, download, copy, search, and link to the full text of journal articles for non-commercial purposes without obtaining permission from the publisher or author. This complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access. BOAI is a principle, a strategy, and a statement of commitment. The International Journal of Tokat Medical Sciences has adopted the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) open access principles. The open access policy: It is defined as “making the full text of published articles available to any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, or browse.
