In this study sound based sentence method and analysis method using in literacy education are compared based on teacher?s views The study was conducted with 30 classroom teachers selected from 10 primary schools in Kilis province center in 2008 2009 education year Survey method and informal interview were used for data collection Descriptive analysis method was used for data analysis Obtained data was grouped and interpreted According to research findings teachers approve that sound based sentence method is better than analysis method to learn reading to understand texts and to develop ability for handwriting in first grades On the other hand analysis method is better than sound based sentence method in reading speed
Bu araştırmada ilk okuma yazma öğretiminde kullanılan ses temelli cümle yöntemi ile çözümleme yönteminin öğretmen görüşlerine göre karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır Araştırma 2008 2009 öğretim yılında Kilis il merkezindeki 10 resmi ilköğretim okulunda görevli 30 sınıf öğretmeni üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir Araştırma verileri tarama ve serbest görüşme teknikleriyle toplanmıştır Verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel çözümleme tekniği kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler gruplanarak yorumlanmıştır Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; öğretmenlerin ses temelli cümle yönteminin çözümleme yöntemine göre ilköğretim birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin okumaya geçme okuduğunu anlama ve eğik el yazısının yazma becerilerine göre daha uygun olduğunu ancak; okuma hızı açısından Çözümleme Yönteminin Ses Temelli Cümle Yöntemine göre daha uygun olduğu görüşünde oldukları ortaya çıkmıştır
