                            <p>The aim of the studyis to test the effects of the sexual health psycho-education program on the 8thgraders’ knowledge level and attitude towards the adolescence, abuse and socialgender roles. Quasi-experimental design with a pre and posttest control groupwas conducted in this study. The sample of the study is composed of 48 studentsin total. There were 24 students (10 male-14 female) in the experimental groupand 24 students (10 male-14 female) in the control group. The students in theexperimental group received the Sexual Health Psycho-Education Program;whereas, the students in the control group received no intervention about thesubject. The findings of the study indicated that sexual psycho-educationprogram created a significant difference (p&amp;lt;.05) between the knowledge levelof the experimental and control group students on the adolescence and socialgender subjects. However, there was no significance about the physiological, emotionaland sexual abuse (p&amp;lt;.05). The results of the study showed that the sexualhealth psycho-education program increased the 8th graders knowledgelevel about adolescence and social gender subjects although it didn’t affecttheir knowledge of abuse.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Buaraştırmanın amacı, ortaokul 8. sınıf öğrencilerine yönelik hazırlanan cinselsağlık psiko-eğitim programının öğrencilerin ergenlik dönemi, istismar vetoplumsal cinsiyet konuları ile ilgili bilgi düzeyleri ve tutumları üzerindekietkisini test etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarıdeneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Deney grubunda 24 (10 erkek-14 kız) öğrenci;kontrol grubunda 24 (10 erkek-14 kız) öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 48 öğrenci buçalışmanın araştırma grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Deney grubundaki katılımcılaraCinsel Sağlık Psiko-Eğitimi uygulanırken; kontrol grubundaki katılımcılarakonuyla ilgili herhangi bir müdahale yapılmamıştır. Araştırma bulguları, deneygrubuna uygulanan cinsel sağlık eğitimi programının öğrencilerin ergenlikdönemi ve toplumsal cinsiyet konularındaki bilgi düzeylerinde kontrol grubunagöre anlamlı bir farklılık olduğunu (p&amp;lt;.05); fiziksel, duygusal, cinselistismar konularındaki bilgilerini artırmada ise kontrol grubuyla deney grubuarasında anlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığını göstermektedir (p&amp;lt;.05).Araştırma sonuçları cinsel sağlık eğitiminin 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin ergenlikdönemi ve toplumsal cinsiyet konularındaki bilgilerini olumlu yöndearttırdığını, istismar konusundaki bilgilerini ise etkilemediğini göstermektedir.</p></abstract>
