One of the critical periods in Iran’s politicalhistory is the term of Mohammed Mossadeq.In the years of 1940’s, there was a nationalist wave in Iran. That wavehad been ended with the establishment of National Front at the end of 40’s. Differentsegments of society had come together in the National Front under theleadership of Mossadeq. With the campaign of National Front, the Iranian Oilhad been nationalized and Mossadeq became the Prime Minister in 1951. Mossadeqand his movement had been effective on Iran’s policy until the coup which wasorganized by CIA-MI6 in 1953. In this work, political events during the periodof Mossadeq government have been examined. Moreover, this study has given placeto reforms that were made by Mossadeq and how these reforms impacted topolitical area in Iran. On the other hand, the struggle between Mossadeq andGreat Powers also has been discussed. In order to understand the event of 1953Coup / Ajax Operation better, it is important to analyse the politicalprocesses both inside and outside of Iran among 1951-1953. Finally, analysingof this time would contribute us to understand the process of 1979 Revolutionbetter and scepticism of Iran’s society towards foreign powers.
</trans-abstract>
