Abstract
Bu çalışma, Mintzberg’in niyet edilen ve gerçekleşen strateji yaklaşımı temelinde; strateji oluşturma süreci sonunda ortaya çıkan stratejilerin uygulamada neden gerçekleştirilemediğini; başarısızlığa uğramış stratejilerin başarı yönünde değerlendirilebilecek bir fırsata dönüşebilirliğini ve bu stratejilerin yaşam döngülerini araştırmaktadır. Bu kavramsal çerçeve doğrultusunda çalışmanın uygulamaya yönelik kısmında; örgütlerde niyet edilen stratejiye yönelik kararların uygulanması sonucunda karşılaşılan beklenmedik başarısız sonuçlar ve bu sonuçların seyri Türkiye'nin ilk 500 sanayi firması listesinde ilk 200 arasında yer alan, halka açık bir otomotiv firmasında analiz edilmektedir. Çalışmada; süreçteki beklenmeyen durumlar sonrasında örgütün başarısızlığa uğrayan stratejik kararlarını, sahip olduğu stratejik yeteneklerini uygun zaman ve şartlarda kullanarak başarı yönünde nasıl değerlendirdiği vurgulanmakta, bu bağlamda örgütün elde ettiği başarılara dikkat çekilmektedir.
