Ethics, known as moral philosophy, is an ancient branch of gospel that investigates whether mortal actions, studies and values are moral, and proposes how they should be. In the literal process, the media has always been handled, delved and occasionally blamed within the frame of ethical values (Öztürk, 2015). When it comes to moment, the new media, which offers numerous different features and possibilities, has continued the being ethical problems and occasionally caused new problems to be encountered. The main purpose of the study is to reveal the ethical violations in the new media. For this purpose, the samples named according to the intentional slice system among the ethical violations in the new media in the focus of the Izmir earthquake that took place on October 30, 2020 were examined by making document analysis. Evaluation; It took place under the headlines of “ hate speech, sequestration, misleading captions and violent advertising”. The results of the exploration revealed that the new media, in addition to furnishing numerous openings, caused numerous ethical violations indeed after a natural disaster similar as the Izmir earthquake. This study is important and contributes to the literature in terms of being over-to- date and revealing the ethical violations created in the new media through a natural disaster.
