Bu çalışmanın gayesi, “Dünya Ticaret Örgütü” konulu eserlerin ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelemek hedeflenilmektedir. Bu hedef doğrultusunda nicel verilerden istifade edilerek yapılan analizlerle bilim insanlarının araştırmalarının kolaylaştırılması amaçlanılmaktadır. Bu verilere Web of Science (WOS) veri tabanı, analiz türü olarak bibliyometrik analiz ve program olarak da Vosviewer yazılım programı kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmada ulaşılan bazı sonuçlardan vardır. Birincisi, 1985-2025 yılları arasında yayınlanan makaleden kitap bölümüne kadar 13607 esere ulaşılmıştır. Bu yıllar arasında en çok eser 2009’da ve en fazla çalışma türü de makale’dir. İkincisi, 13607 eser İngilizceden İspanyolcaya kadar çeşitli diller yazılmış ve en fazla kullanılan dil ise İngilizcedir. Üçüncüsü, eser arasında en fazla çalışmaya sahip olan kişi, Petros C. Mavroidis’dir. Dördüncüsü, en fazla eserin yayınlandığı devlet, Amerika Birleşik Devletleridir. Beşincisi, eserlerin yayınlandığı yayınevleri noktasında Cambridge University Press ilk sırada bulunmaktadır. Sonuncusu ise eserlerde kullanılan anahtar kelimeler içinde en çok tekrar edilen kelimenin “World Trade Organization (WTO)” olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
