Kemal Pasha-zade, one of the important figures of Ottoman history, is also an important poet of Turkish Literature with his famous Turkish works such as Dîvân, Yusuf u Züleyhâ and Tevârih-i Âl-i Osman. Unfortunately, serious research has not been conducted about his poetical aspect. In our doctoral thesis on this subject, we tried to shed light on the direction of poet by considering his poems from different aspects such as verse forms, eloquence, content and stylistic features. In this study, by taking advantage of our doctoral dissertation, we tried to reveal the features of Kemal Pasha-zâde’s poetry in terms of prosody, rhyme and style. In this study, first of all, the historical and modern sources about Kemal Pasha-zâde’s poetry will be pointed out Then the prosody and rhyme characteristics of the poet’s poems will be explained and exemplified in the articles and then the information about the prominent stylistic features of the poet will be given. At the end of this study, the comparison of the provisions given in the sources about the poetry of Kemal Pasha-zâde with our own findings will be included.
Osmanlı tarihinin önemlişahsiyetlerinden biri olan Kemal Paşa-zâde, aynı zamanda Dîvân’ı, Yusuf uZüleyhâ mesnevisi ve Tevârih-i Âl-i Osmân gibi meşhur Türkçe eserleriyle deTürk Edebiyatı’nın da önemli bir şairidir. Kendisinin şairlik yönü hakkında malesefciddi araştırmalar yapılmış değildir. Konuyla ilgili olarak hazırladığımızdoktora tezimizde, kendisinin şiirlerini nazım şekilleri, belagat, muhteva veüslup özellikleri gibi farklı yönlerden ele alarak şairlik yönüne ışık tutmayaçalışmıştık. Bu çalışmamızda da, doktora tezimizden de yararlanarak KemalPaşa-zâde’nin şiirinin aruz, kafiye ve üslup özellikleri bakımından sahipolduğu özellikleri daha belirgin bir şekilde ortaya koymaya çalıştık.Bu çalışmada öncelikle,tarihî ve modern kaynaklarda Kemal Paşa-zâde’nin şairlik yönü hakkındasöylenenlere işaret edilecektir. Ardında da şairin şiirlerinin aruz ve kafiyehususiyetleri maddeler halinde izah edilip örneklendirildikten sonra şiirinindiğer şairlere gore öne çıkan üslup özellikleri hakkında bilgi verilecektir.Böylece, kendisinin aruz ve kafiye açısından sağlam bir şiire ve söyledikleriniispatlamaya yönelik bir ifade tarzına sahip olduğu, aynı zamanda diğer şairlereoranla redd-i matlaya ve kelimeoyunlarına daha sık başvurduğu ortaya konmuştur.
