Abstract

Moda, insanlığın varoluşundan itibaren örtünme ihtiyacının zamanla giyim zevkine dönüşerek, zaman ve mekâna göre değişkenlik gösterdiği bir olgudur. Bu olgu ilk çağdan modern çağa kadar uzanan ve modern çağın getirdiği yenilikler ile birlikte her geçen gün değişim ve gelişim göstererek bir sektör halini almıştır. Moda, toplumun içinde bulunduğu zaman dilimine, güncel olaylara, sosyal, psikolojik ve kültürel değerlere göre şekillenebilir, değişiklik gösterebilir. Moda sektörüne etki eden, tasarımcıların ilham aldığı birçok tarihi dönem vardır. Bu dönemlerden biride Art Nouveau’ dur. Bu çalışmada Art Nouveau’nun moda sektörüne etkisi üzerine bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya moda sektörünün genel tanımı ile giriş yapılmış, ardından Art Nouveau kavramından, döneminden, tasarım özelliklerinden ve Art Nouveou sanatçılarından bahsedilmiştir. Art Nouveau’nun etkin olduğu dönem içerisinde yapılmış tasarımlardan örnekler sunulmuştur. Ayrıca Art Nouveau’nun günümüz moda sektöründeki yerinden bahsedilmiş ve Art Nouveau’dan ilham alarak koleksiyonlar hazırlayan dünyaca ünlü tasarımcıların tasarımlarına yer verilmiştir. Sanat ve mimari yapılar üzerindeki etkisi oldukça fazla olan bu akımın, moda sektörü üzerinde de etkisinin olup olmadığı, verilen örnekler üzerinden saptanmaya çalışılmıştır.

ART NOUVEAU EFFECT IN FASHION SECTOR

Abstract

Fashion is a phenomenon in which the desire for covering from the moment of humanity turns into pleasure of clothing over time and varies according to time and space. This phenomenon has become a sector by changing and developing with every passing day, with innovations ranging from the early ages to the modern era and brought by the modern age. Fashion can be shaped and changed according to the time frame of the society, current events, social, psychological and cultural values. There are many historical periods inspired by the designers influencing the fashion industry. One of these periods is Art Nouveau. In this study, Art Nouveau's research on the influence of the fashion sector was carried out. On this research was introduced with a general description of the fashion industry, followed by the Art Nouveau concept, the period, design features and Art Nouveau artists. Examples of designs were made during the period when Art Nouveau was active. In addition, Art Nouveau's place in the fashion industry today is mentioned, and the designs of world famous designers who have created collections inspired by Art Nouveau have been featured. It has been tried to determine whether this current, which has a lot of influence on art and architectural structures, has an effect on the fashion sector through the examples given.
