                                                                                                <abstract><p>Dislipidemi, vücutta dolaşan tüm lipoproteinlerin metabolizmasında oluşan kalitatif ve kantitatif bozukluklar olarak tanımlanabilir. Lipoproteinlerin içerikleri vücutta sürekli olarak değişim halindedir ve bunlarla İlişkili fenotipler büyük bir heterojenite gösterirler. Yapı, işlev, denetim ve ilişkili fenotiplerinde büyük çeşitlilik görülen bu partiküllerle ilintili genetik mekanizmalar da bir o kadar karmaşa içermektedir. Kalıtsal dislipidemiler Frederickson sırnflandırma sistemi allında incelenmektedir. Bu sistem, lipoprotein, kolesterol ve trigliserid kan düzeylerini göz önüne almaktadır. Frederickson fenotipleri (hiperlipoproteinemi, HLP) I, ila, lib, III, IV ve V olarak sınıflandırırken; biyokimyasal açıdan hiperkolesterolemi, kombine hiperlipidemi ve hipertriglisemi olarak gmplandınlmaktadır. HLP fenotiplerine ait kalıtım kalıplan ise, basitten karmaşığa üç ayrı grup halinde incelenebilir: Monogenik, poligenik-multifaktöryel ve sekonder. Farklı dislipidemi fenotipleri için pek çok lokus belirlenmiş ve aday genlerde mutasyonlar saptanmış olmakla birlikte, özellikle poligenik-multifaktöryel özellikteki fenotiplerle ilişkili çalışmalar hem aday genlerin belirlenmesi, hem de mutasyonlann saptanması noktasında devam etmektedir. Bu yazıda, genetik alt yapılarının yoğunluğu nedeni ile ailevi HLP fenotipleri ele alınacaktır.</p></abstract>
