This paper investigates into Anglicisms in French with a view to pointing out their sexist load. It first and foremost sketches the phenomenon of borrowing before focussing on the exploration of Anglicisms. With regards to methodological issues, it draws on qualitative and quantitative approaches: morpho-semantic analysis of Anglicisms with a view to pointing out their internal structure and meaning; and the frequency of Anglicisms in denoting male- or female-specific reality. The paper also draws on Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) (Fairclough 1995, 2003), in order to spot out how and why language privileges some viewpointsto the detriment of others.

Bu çalışma, Fransızca'daki ingilizceleştirmeleri, taşıdıkları cinsiyetçi altyapı üzerinden incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Makalemiz ingilizceleştirme olgusu üzerine eğilmeden önce, ilk olarak kelime devşirme konusunu açımlamaktadır. Çalışmamız, yöntemsel sorunları göz ardı etmeden, nicel ve nitel yaklaşımları ele almaktadır: İngilizceleştirmelerin, iç yapılarını ve anlamlarını gösterecek şekilde biçim-anlambilimsel çözümlemesi; ardından da erkek veya kadın gerçekliğine işaret eden ingilizceleştirmelerin kullanım sıklığı. Makale aynı zamanda "Critical Discourse Analysis" (CDA) (Fairclough, 1995, 2003) üzerinde de durarak, dilin neden bazı bakış açılarına, diğerlerinin zararına olacak şekilde öncelik tanıdığını açıklamayı amaçlamaktadır.
