A large majority of the vessels produced for daily use are tablewares.
Bottles/flasks, jugs, jars, beakers, goblets, plates and bowls are the examples of these vessels which are the content of this article. On the other hand the forms of these groups are also adequate for other functions such as lightening, cosmetic and liturgy. Usually the features of their find spots
or characteristics of form and decoration provide information about their
functions. However, the use of different names for very similar forms, usually
causes difficulties in distinguishing new findings.
In this article, several forms of these groups have been identified in
charts, to follow the types and their chronology. Thus, the functions of
each type have been described in the light of the previous researchs. In
addition, some suggestions have been made by pointing to the problems of
terminology. The forms which were createdto meet the needs of daily use,
usually produced in accordance of the contemporary taste.
