Our journal may publish special issues to track current developments in the scientific field, highlight specific research topics, and contribute to the production of academic knowledge.
The decision to publish special issues is made by the Editorial Board. The topic, scope, publication schedule, and other editorial guidelines for a special issue are determined by the Editorial Board. When deemed necessary, a separate editorial team consisting of guest editors or special issue editors may be appointed to manage special issues. However, this appointment does not entail any changes to the journal’s publication policies, ethical principles, or editorial standards.
All manuscripts submitted to a special issue undergo the same preliminary review and double-blind peer review processes applied to the journal’s regular issues. Evaluation criteria, scientific quality standards, and principles of publication ethics are applied in the same manner for special issues.
To prevent conflicts of interest when evaluating the work of editors who have articles in a special issue, the relevant editors are excluded from the review process and may not exercise editorial authority over their own articles. This ensures that the review process is conducted independently, impartially, and in accordance with the principles of confidentiality.
The number of articles to be published in special issues is determined based on scientific quality, peer review results, and the journal’s editorial plan. There is no guarantee that submissions made for a special issue will be published; manuscripts deemed unsuitable as a result of peer review and editorial evaluations may be rejected.
All articles published in a special issue are subject to the journal’s copyright, open access, archiving, and ethical publishing policies.
