ANTERIOR MEDIASTINAL MASSES IN CHILDREN: A RADIOLOGIC REVIEW BY CHATGPT

Abstract

Anterior mediastinal masses (AMMs), while rare in children, pose a significant
risk due to their potential for life-threatening complications. Positioned within the
anterior mediastinum — the space between the sternum and pericardium, filled with
connective tissue, lymphatic structures, and the thymus gland — these masses
present with a wide range of clinical manifestations. Prompt identification and
appropriate management are critical. This review presents an AI chatbot-generated
exploration of anterior mediastinal masses in children, specifically using
"ChatGPT" (built on the GPT-3.5 architecture by OpenAI). The final text underwent
a language edit and plagiarism check via the GPT-4 version.

ÇOCUKLARDA ÖN MEDIASTEN KİTLELERİ: CHATGPT TARAFINDAN YAZILMIŞ BIR RADYOLOJİK DERLEME

Abstract

Ön mediastinal kitleleri çocuklarda nadir olmakla birlikte yaşamı tehdit eden
komplikasyon potansiyeli nedeniyle önemli bir risk oluşturmaktadır. Ön
mediastende (sternum ve perikard arasındaki bağ dokusu, lenfatik yapılar ve timus
beziyle dolu boşluk) yer alan bu kitleler çok çeşitli klinik belirtilerle ortaya çıkar.
Hızlı tanımlama ve uygun yönetim kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu derleme, özellikle
"ChatGPT" (OpenAI tarafından GPT-3.5 mimarisi üzerine inşa edilmiştir)
kullanılarak çocuklarda anterior mediastinal kitlelerinin AI chatbot tarafından
oluşturulan bir araştırma özetini sunmaktadır. Nihai metin, GPT-4 sürümü
aracılığıyla bir dil düzenlemesinden ve intihal kontrolünden geçti.
