Aviation Innovations for Sustainable Development:
- Integrating Biomedicine,
- Agriculture,
- Nanomedicine,
- Tissue Engineering,
- Drug Delivery, and Environmental Toxicology in Health,
- Agro-Aerospace,
- Sustainability.
This special issue delves into the multifaceted role of aviation in advancing sustainable development, with a strong emphasis on synergies between biomedicine, agriculture, and environmental health. It invites review articles, original research, and perspectives on topics such as sustainable aviation fuels derived from agricultural biomass to reduce emissions, the health impacts of aviation pollution on rural farming communities, nanotechnology for precision agriculture via UAVs (e.g., crop monitoring and targeted drug delivery for plant health analogs), tissue engineering for resilient biomaterials in agro-aviation tools, and toxicological assessments of airborne pollutants on soil, crops, and human well-being.
By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 13: Climate Action), the issue aims to promote citation-rich syntheses that cite foundational aviation studies while driving innovations in sustainable practices, health equity, and agro-aerospace technologies. Submissions should prioritize evidence-based reviews to build a robust citation network, appealing to reviewers and authors from sustainable development, agriculture, biomedicine, and environmental toxicology.
