                            <p>The aim of this study is to research the pedagogical content knowledge of mathematics teachers working in private education institutions about the concept of function in line with the subject content knowledge subcomponent. Case study method based on qualitative approach was used in the study. In this context, while determining the participants of the study, purposeful sampling method was taken as a basis and five mathematics teachers working in private teaching institutions were included in the study. The data obtained from the study were collected through semi-structured interviews, semi-structured observations and document analysis techniques and data triangulation was performed. Content and descriptive analysis techniques were used to analyse the data obtained. As a result of this study, it was seen that the subject matter knowledge of the teachers about the concept of function was not at an adequate level and they had problems especially in the topics of function graph and problem posing about function.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı, özel öğretim kurumlarında çalışan matematik öğretmenlerinin fonksiyon kavramı ile ilgili sahip oldukları pedagojik alan bilgilerini; konu alan bilgisi alt bileşeni doğrultusunda araştırmaktır. Çalışmada, nitel yaklaşıma dayalı durum çalışması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın katılımcıları belirlenirken amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi esas alınmış ve özel öğretim kurumlarında çalışan beş matematik öğretmeni çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler, yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme, yarı-yapılandırılmış gözlem ve doküman incelemesi teknikleri ile toplanarak veri üçlemesi (üçgenleme) yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde, içerik ve betimsel analiz teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma sonucunda öğretmenlerin fonksiyon kavramı ile ilgili alan bilgilerinin yeterli düzeyde olmadığı ve özellikle fonksiyon grafiği ve fonksiyon ile ilgili problem kurma konularında sorun yaşadıkları görülmüştür.</p></abstract>
