It participates in the endocrine system as well as the myocardium&#039;s energy metabolism. This study aimed to investigate the potential of EFT as a noninvasive marker for hypertension (HT) complications associated with aortic dilatation. Methods: The study&#039;s healthy control (HC) group consisted of 70 patients with normal blood pressure and the HT group consisted of 82 patients with higher blood pressure. HT groups were separated into four categories, prehypertensive, stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3. EFT was assessed by two-dimensional echocardiography from the parasternal long axis and compared between the HC and the HT groups. Results: The EFT thickness in the HT group was considerably higher than in the HC (5.7±1.9 vs 4.0±1.3, p</p>
