Makine Öğrenmesi Aracılığı ile Kullanıcı Deneyimi Bilgilerinin Erken Mimari Tasarım Süreçleriyle Bütünleştirilmesi

Abstract

Yapay zeka, makineler ve yazılımlar tarafından işlenebilen bir zeka türüne karşılık gelmektedir. Bu teknoloji insan gibi düşünmek ve eylemleri taklit etmek üzere programlanmış makineler aracılığıyla zekanın simülasyonunu sağlamaktadır (Frankenfield, 2020). İnsan zekasını algılama, öğrenme ve taklit etme amaçları doğrultusunda geliştirilen yapay zeka, farklı alanlara yoğunlaşan pek çok alt başlığa ayrılmaktadır. Bu başlıklardan biri olan makine öğrenmesi, yapay zeka algoritmalarının sürekli öğrenme şeklinde programlanması ile bu algoritmaların verileri ayrıştırarak bu verilerden öğrendiklerine göre bilinçli kararlar verebilmesi için kullanılan işlem olarak tanımlanmaktadır (Grossfeld, 2020). Makine öğrenmesi, kullanıcı deneyimi (User Experience, UX) gibi kullanıcı hareketlerinin ve onlardan elde edilen verilerin kullanıldığı alanlarda geniş kullanım olanağı bulmakla birlikte henüz mimarlık alanında yaygın olarak kullanılmamaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmada, UX alanında makine öğrenmesi üzerine daha önceden yapılmış olan çalışmaların incelenmesi ve elde edilen bulguların mimarlıkta kullanıcı-mekan ilişkisi üzerine uyarlanması hedeflenmektedir. Makalede, makine öğrenmesi ile kullanıcı deneyimlerine ait verilerin depolanarak bu verilerin erken tasarım sürecinde değerlendirilmesi ve yeni tasarımlar yapılırken bu bilgiler doğrultusunda ilerlenmesi üzerine bir tartışma sunulmaktadır. Metinde ilk olarak makine öğrenmesinin temel mantığı anlatılarak, çalışma süreci incelenmekte ve kullanıcı deneyimleri üzerine yapılan çalışmalarda hangi alanlarda ve ne şekillerde kullanıldığı anlatılmaktadır. Daha sonra, yapılan literatür çalışmaları doğrultusunda, mimarlık ve UX alanının kesişimleri üzerinde durularak bu iki alanın birbirinden neler öğrenebileceği ortaya konulmaktadır. Son olarak, mimarlık alanında kullanıcı deneyimlerinin makine öğrenmesi yardımıyla erken tasarım süreçleriyle bütünleştirilmesi için bir çerçeve önerisi sunulmaktadır. Yapılan tartışmanın sonucunda ise, erken tasarım süreçlerinde bu teknolojinin kullanılmasının ileride insan-mekan arasındaki ilişkiyi ve mimarlık disiplinini nasıl etkileyebileceği tartışılmaktadır.
