                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>The aim of this research is to determinethe effectiveness of the use of animated video and comic media on thestorytelling skills of the fourth-grade students of elementary school. Aquasi-experimental design with the pretest-posttest two treatment designs wasused. The population of this research was the fourth-grade students ofelementary schools in cluster 2 of Tamanan, Kalasan District, Sleman. Thesample of this research was SDN Tamanan 2, Kalasan with a total of 26 studentsand the fourth-grade students of SDN Tunjungsari 2, Kalasan with a total of 30students, in semester one of the 2019 - 2020 academic year. The experimentalgroup one was treated using the animated video media that contained fairytalewhile the experimental group 2 was treated using the comic media. The datacollecting tool are Story Telling Scale. It was used to determine storytellingskills before and after the treatment. The results of study is that animatedvideo based learning methods more effective than comic (p&amp;lt;.05). For futherstudy it can be search in the results of this research.</p></abstract>
