Special Issue Call (STEM Studies, Giftedness and Sustainability of Education) December 1, 2021

Dear Authors
STEM education has proposed a unifying discipline approach as of its first appearance. However, besides the interdisciplinary approach, a meta-disciplinary approach is also recommended in the education of gifted students. The meta-disciplinary approach is not yet included in STEM education. However, the thesis that STEM education is aimed at general and normal students has not been proven yet. Our opinion is that STEM education is for nurturing giftedness and talent. For this reason, we can accept all of the studies about STEM as gifted/talented education research. JEGYS recognizes the depreciation of science education in the academic community and the popularization of STEM education instead. However, "advanced science education", an important concept introduced by JEGYS, has made an important paradigm shift in science education. Similarly, he shares this special issue with you, thinking that STEM education should be included in giftedness research in this context. Another important issue is sustainability in education. As everyone knows, sustainability is essential for talent development. That's why the concept of "sustainability of education" is one of the issues that should be focused on after the pandemic.

To support this, it is to publish "STEM Studies, Giftedness and Sustainability of Education" as a special issue in 2021. We are calling authors studying in this field for articles for this special issue.
