Peer Review Policy of JEGYS

We are committed to prompt evaluation and publication of fully accepted papers in Journal for the Education of Gifted Young Scientists (JEGYS). To maintain a high-quality publication, all submissions undergo a rigorous review process. Characteristics of the peer review process are as follows:

· Simultaneous submissions of the same papers to different journals will not be accepted.

· Manuscripts with content outside the scope of JEGYS will not be considered for review.

· The Editor requests disclosure of any conflicts of interest from authors during the evaluation process. Authors are not allowed to engage in unethical practices such as adding authors during the review process.

· All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial pre-screening prior to the peer review process. During this stage, manuscripts are evaluated in terms of compliance with the journal’s scope, adherence to ethical publishing standards, completeness of required sections (e.g., abstract, introduction, method, results, discussion), and conformity with formatting guidelines (including APA referencing style). In addition, potential ethical issues such as plagiarism, inappropriate authorship practices, excessive self-citation, and improper or irrelevant referencing are carefully checked. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are returned to the authors without entering the peer review process.

· Depending on JEGYS policy, submissions are refereed by at least two independent experts.

· The Editor(s) of JEGYS may seek additional reviews when necessary.

· Publication decisions are made by the Editors-in-Chief based on the reviewers' reports.

· All submitted manuscripts are securely stored.

· Plagiarism reports may be obtained at the beginning, during, and at the end of the review process.

· All manuscripts are evaluated using a double-blind peer review process.

All these principles are implemented under the responsibility of the JEGYS editorial board, which continuously develops and improves review policies.

The article’s editorial pre-screening takes approximately 10 days, peer review averages 60 days, and publication takes approximately 90 days.
