Children in the 6-10 age group spend most of their time in primary school listening to lessons at school. This period is an important period in terms of the physical development of children and it is important that the working units conform to the dimensional and biomechanical characteristics of the students. Units that do not fit the anthropometric dimensions of the students influence the physical development, productivity and comfort of the students in the negative direction. It also causes discomfort in the neck, back, arm muscles, spinal cord, circulatory and respiratory system. The purpose of this study is to present suggestions on the dimensions of the work units, emphasizing the importance of the work units used in the primary schools in terms of anthropometric dimensions of the students. Within the scope of the study, working units were measured and photographed in the in situ determination work carried out in a total of 24 classrooms from 3 primary schools in the city of Rize. Findings obtained with these findings; In 2006, Hasturk`s performed his graduate studies in the name of "Determination of anthropometric values in children between the ages of 7 and 12 in Ankara and application of these measures to children's room furniture" and published Pheasant's 2003 "Body space: Anthropometry, Ergonomics and the Design of Work". At the end of the study; In the light of the evaluations made in relation to the anthropometric dimensions-working unit dimensions of the students, the working units of the primary schools are presented with suggestions for the measurements.
