                                                                                                <abstract><p>Çelik sektöründe maliyetlerin düşürülmesi, üretim verimliliği ile birlikte rekabet gücünü de artırmaktadır. Özellikle katma değeri yüksek otomotiv ve demiryolu sektörlerine yönelik mamul ve yarı mamul tedarik eden Kardemir, temiz çelik üretimi optimizasyon çalışmalarına büyük önem vermektedir.Bu çalışmada, çelik temizliğine etki eden ve üretilen ürünlere uygun tandiş örtü tozunun belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Tandiş örtü tozunun performansına yönelik talepler doğrultusunda beklenen özellikler; sıvı çelik üzerine uygulandığında sıvı faz oluşturarak çeliğin atmosfer ile temasını kesmek, tandiş içerisindeki sıcaklık değişimini en düşük seviyede tutmak, reoksidasyonu önlemek, çelik içerisindeki inklüzyonları absorbe etmek ve tandiş astar malzemeleri ile uyumlu çalışmaktır.  Bu kapsamda tandiş örtü tozlarının sahip olması gereken fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikler araştırılmış ve farklı tandiş örtü tozlarının çift katman yöntemiyle uygulandığı deneme üretimleri gerçekleştirilmiştir.  Farklı kalitelerde gerçekleştirilen deneme üretimlerine ait numuneler çelik temizliği bakımından değerlendirilmiş, tandiş örtü tozlarının inklüzyon absorbe etme kabiliyetleri kıyaslanmıştır.Abstract—Reducing the costs in the steel industry increases the competitive power along with the production efficiency. Kardemir, which supplies finished and semi-finished products especially for the automotive and railway sectors with high added value, attaches great importance to the optimization of clean steel production.In this study, it is aimed to examine the parameters affecting the cleaning of steel and to determine the appropriate tundish covering powder for the products produced. The expected properties in line with the demands for the performance of the tundish coverin powder are listed as follows. When applied on liquid steel, it creates a liquid phase to cut the contact of the steel with the atmosphere, to keep the temperature change in the tundish at the lowest level, to prevent reoxidation, to absorb the inclusions in the steel and to work in harmony with the tundish lining materials.In this context, the physical and chemical properties of tundish covering powders were researched and trial productions were carried out in which three different tundish covering powders were applied with the double layer method. The samples belonging to the trial productions of different grades were evaluated in terms of steel cleanliness, and the inclusion absorption capabilities of tundish covering powders were compared.</p></abstract>
