                                                                                                <abstract><p>Son zamanlarda gündeme gelen engelli öğrencilere karşı olumsuz tutumların ülkemizde ön plana çıkması ile okul çocuklarının pediatri hemşiresi tarafından değerlendirilmesinin önemi ortaya çıkmaktadır. Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu araştırmanın örneklemini 2019-2020 yılında Muğla ili merkez ilçesindeki 5.- 8. sınıflarda okuyan 11-14 yaş aralığındaki 325 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmadaki öğrencilerin %57.8’i kızdır. Katılımcıların ölçekten aldığı en yüksek puan 104, en düşük puan 34 ve puan ortalaması 76.18±12.31’dir. Ölçeğin Kaçınma alt boyutu ile kendine ait odasının olması ve engelliğine ilişkin eğitim alma durumları, Acıma alt boyutu ile kendine ait odasının olması, Benzer olma/Benzerlik alt boyutu ile kardeş sayısı, anne eğitimi ve anne mesleği arasında istatistiksel fark anlamlı saptanmıştır. Kardeşi olan, anne eğitimi ortaokul düzeyinde olan ve emekli annelerin ölçek puanları diğer gruplardan yüksek çıkmıştır. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda engelli çocuklara yönelik koruyucu ve geliştirici tutumların geliştirilmesinde yol haritalarının çıkabileceği düşünülmektedir.</p></abstract>
