Araştırmanınamacı; Anadolu lisesi öğretmenlerinin derslerde kullandıkları öğretim yöntem vetekniklerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmaya farklı illerden 17 öğretmen katılmıştır.Araştırmada olgubilim deseni uygulanmış, veriler yarıyapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğinden yararlanılarak elde edilmiştir. Nitel araştırma veri analiz yöntemlerine göre veriler değerlendirilmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda; öğretmenlerin en çok anlatım yöntemini tercih ettiklerifakat bu yöntemi tek başına yeterli bulmadıkları, diğer tekniklerledestekledikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca az olmakla birlikte gösterip yaptırma,soru cevap, gösteri, dramatizasyon, tartışma, beyin fırtınası ve eğitseloyunların kullanıldığı saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin bu yöntem ve tekniklerizamandan tasarruf sağladığı, katılımı ve motivasyonu artırdığı, etkili, kalıcıve dikkat çekici olduğu, öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırdığı, eğlenceli ve öğrencimerkezli olduğu için kullanmayı tercih ettikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrenciyipasif kılan ve sıkan düz anlatım yönteminin tercih edilmediği saptanmıştır.Ayrıca sınıfların kalabalık olmasını, bazı alanların yapısına uygun olmayışınıve zaman alıcı olmasını gerekçe göstererek öğretmenlerin altı şapkalı düşünme,akvaryum, çember, balık kılçığı, istasyon, rol oynama, dedikodu ve rulmantekniklerini kullanmadıkları saptanmıştır.
This study aims to identify the views ofAnatolian High School teachers about teaching methods and techniques they usein classes. A total of 17 teachers from different provinces participated in thestudy. Phenomenologic method was used in the study and the data were acquiredby means of semi-structured interview. The data were evaluated according to themethods of qualitative research data analysis. The results of the study showedthat the teachers preferred expository instruction method most but that theydid not find it sufficient alone and supported it with other methods. The studyrevealed that methods and techniques such as modeling, question-and-answer,demonstration, dramatization, discussion, brainstorming and educational gameswere also used to a certain extent. The study also revealed that the teacherspreferred these methods and techniques because they were effective believed tocontribute into retention, atracting students interest, to be enjoyable,student-centered, timesaving, facilitate learning, enhance motivation andparticipation. The study showed that teacher centered conventional expositoryinstruction method, which makes students passive and demotivated, was notpreferred. Besides, according to the findings of the study, the teachers didnot use techniques such as six thinking hats, aquarium, circle, fishbonediagram, station, role-playing, gossip and ball-bearing, because of the reasonsthat the classrooms were crowded, that the techniques were not suitable for thestructure of some places and that they were time-consuming.
