<p>Russia is spread over a geographical area the size of a continent; the area it covers in history is just as wide. Geoffrey Hosking draws the closeness of the level of relationship between the disciplines of geography and history in bold lines in his work, in which he describes a comprehensive history of Russia and its peoples.Dec. It deals with the past and present of Russia by scanning a wide horizon from social life to the formation of power centers, from the formation of politics to the formation of a common culture. While taking the reader on long trips from the cold northern coasts to the farthest corners of Asia, the author leans on the peoples, cultures living in these rich geographical diversities, their relations with each other and with Russia from an academic perspective.</p></trans-abstract>
