<p>Aim: Examining individuals&#039; preferences regarding transportation activities, which are part of their daily lives, from a gender perspective and investigating the role of fear of crime in determining these preferences is important for ensuring that women experience urban life safely as equal individuals alongside men. There are limited studies in the current literature that evaluate the general outlook of the relevant field from a holistic perspective. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze research on gender, fear of crime, and transportation in terms of bibliometric indicators. Method: A bibliometric analysis was employed in this study. On 1 February 2025, searches were conducted in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases using predefined keywords related to gender, fear of crime, and transport. Thirty-six articles published between 1995 and 2024 constitute the dataset for this study. The dataset was analyzed using Biblioshiny, a web interface for the R program. Results: Firstly, this study describes the general profile of publications related to gender, fear of crime, and transport. Subsequently, based on the research questions, the relationships between sources, authors, and keywords; the prominent journals and authors; the most cited publications; the country-based distribution; the frequently used keywords; and the development over time were identified. Conclusion: The annual growth rate of publications was 7.43%, the total number of authors working on this topic was 81, and the average citation per article was 31.44. Furthermore, interest in the subject has increased recently. The country with the most publications in the field examined is the United States. The most prolific authors on the subject were Ceccato and Sundling. The most frequently used word in the articles examined (excluding search keywords) was “public transport.”Originality: In the current literature, there are limited comprehensive studies that evaluate the overall picture of the relevant field from a holistic perspective. Therefore, it is expected that this study, which examines academic outputs in the relevant field within a systematic and measurable framework, will guide researchers who wish to understand and investigate the relationship between gender and transportation activities in the context of fear of crime.</p>
