A questionnaire study was conducted on 85 apiculture farms registered at Igdir BeekeepersAssociation with the objective to examine honey production cost and total revenue in Igdir province of EasternAnatolia Region of Turkey. In the study, in 63(%) of honey production costs was fxed costs, and the rest (37%)was variable costs. 50(%) of variable costs was sugar, comb foundation, and frame costs, whereas 78 (%) of fxedcosts was family labor costs. Honey cost (20.65 TL kg-1) and selling price (41.16 TL kg-1) were calculated, netproft from sale honey of 1 kg was determined as 20.51 TL. Average net proft of 12 346 TL from producing honeyof 601.94 kg was obtained per farm. Lower average for honey yield per hive was 9.78 kg in comparison with theaverage obtained in Turkey. To increase the yield per hive and the income obtained from beekeeping activity, it wasrecommendable that technical education should be provided for beekeepers together with working the superior beebreeds.
Bu çalışma Iğdır İli Arıcılar Birliği’ne üye 85 işletmeden Tam Sayım yöntemine göre elde edilen verilerkullanılarak bal üretim maliyeti ve toplam hasılanın incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına görebal üretim maliyetinde üretim masraflarının %63’ünü sabit masraflar ve %37’sini değişir masraflar oluşturmaktadır.Değişir masrafların %50’sini şeker, temel petek ve çerçeve masrafları oluştururken sabit masrafların %78’ini aileişgücü ücret karşılıkları oluşturmaktadır. 1 kg bal maliyeti 20.65 TL, 1 kg bal satış fyatı ortalama 41.16 TL olup,1 kg bal satışından elde edilen net kâr 20.51 TL olarak belirlenmiştir. Her işletme ortalama 601.94 kg bal üreterek12 346 TL net kâr sağlamışlardır. İşletmelerin 9.78 kg olarak elde ettikleri kovan başına bal verimi Türkiye ortalamabal veriminden düşüktür. Kovan başına veriminin ve arıcılık gelirinin arttırılması için yüksek verimli arı ırkları ileçalışılması ve arıcılara teknik eğitim verilmesi sağlanmalıdır
