                                                                                                <abstract><p>Aktinomikoz çenelerde seyrek görülen kronik, ilerleyici bir enfeksiyon hastalığıdır. Enfeksiyona sıklıkla bir anaerobik bakteri olan Actinomyces israelii neden olur. Bu makalede maksillofasiyal enfeksiyonlar içinde hem seyrek görülmesi hem de tedaviye dirençli olması açısından önemli olduğunu düşündüğümüz aktinomikoz olgusunu sunmayı amaçladık. Kliniğimize uzun süredir alt çenede ağrı, çene altı ve boyun bölgesinde şişlik ve ağız açmada zorlanma yakınmaları ile başvuran 24 ya- şındaki erkek hastanın; yapılan klinik, radyolojik ve mikrobiyolojik incelemeleri sonrası aktinomikoz tanısı koyulmuş ve tedavisi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Aktinomikoz olgularında tedavi klasik olarak cerrahi ve medikal tedavinin kombinasyonu şeklinde yapılır. Bizim olgumuzda da benzer tedavi uygulanmış ve sonrasında; önce haftalık daha sonra aylık sürelerle izlediğimiz hastamızda sorunsuz iyileşme sağlanmıştır</p></abstract>
