A Study on the Tendencies of Healthcare Workers to Use Digital Hospital Systems

Abstract

It is seen that the positive or negative characteristics and perceptual differences that individuals have lead to different attitudes and behaviors in terms of accepting new technologies. In this study, it was investigated whether the tendencies of employees to new technologies and their technology acceptance attitudes regarding the use of HIMSS-EMRAM digital hospital systems differ according to their demographic characteristics in a health institution that has entered the digitalization process. According to the data obtained from the research, in the analysis of demographic variables and technology readiness index of healthcare workers, the optimism variable varies according to title and age, the innovation variable varies according to gender and age, and the discomfort and insecurity variables do not differ according to demographic variables. According to the results of the comparison of demographic variables and technology acceptance model of healthcare professionals, it was determined that the perceived benefit variable differs according to title and age, while the perceived ease of use variable differs only according to title.

Sağlık Çalışanlarının Dijital Hastane Sistemlerini Kullanma Eğilimleri Üzerine Bir Çalışma

Abstract

Teknolojik değişimlerin hızlı gerçekleştiği dijital çağda bireylerin sahip olduğu olumlu ya da olumsuz unsurların ve algısal farklılıkların yeni teknolojileri kabul etme açısından farklı tutum ve davranışları ortaya çıkardığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada dijitalleşme sürecine giren bir sağlık kurumunda çalışanlarının yeni teknolojilere olan yatkınlıklarının ve HIMSS-EMRAM dijital hastane sistemleri kullanımıyla ilgili teknoloji kabul tutumlarının demografik özelliklerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı araştırılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda öncelikle teknoloji kabul modeli ve teknoloji hazırlık indeksi hakkında kavramsal çerçeve açıklanmaktadır. Sonrasında çalışma metodu ve bulguları hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilere göre sağlık çalışanlarının demografik değişkenleri ile teknoloji hazırlık indeksi alt boyutlarının analizinde, iyimserlik boyutunun ünvan ve yaşa göre farklılıklar gösterdiği; yenilikçilik boyutunun cinsiyet ve yaşa göre farklılıklar gösterdiği; rahatsızlık ve güvensizlik boyutlarının ise demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca teknoloji kabul alt boyutlarından algılanan fayda boyutunun ünvan ve yaşa göre farklılıklar gösterdiği; algılanan kullanım kolaylığı alt boyutunun ise sadece ünvana göre farklılıklar gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
