<p>Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmenlerin kişisel cihazları (cep telefonları) ve eğitim kurumlarındaki eğitim teknolojileri (kişisel bilgisayarlar veya eğitim kurumlarındaki bilgisayarlar) aracılığıyla sürekli olarak maruz kaldıkları işle ilgili bildirimlerin yarattığı stresten kaçınmak amacıyla dijital detoksa duyulan ihtiyacı değerlendirmek üzere bir Dijital Detoks İhtiyacı Ölçeği geliştirmek ve ölçeğin geçerliğini test etmektir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma görüşmesini (n = 96), komite yaklaşımıyla yürütülen geri bildirim odaklı pilot çalışmasını (n = 87), ölçek geliştirme çalışmasını (n = 172) ve açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri yoluyla yürütülen bir geçerlik çalışmasını (n = 308) içeren karma yöntemli bir yaklaşımla yürütülmüştür. Geliştirilen ölçek, dört farklı ölçekle doğrulanmıştır: Küresel İş Tatmini Ölçeği ve Öğretmen Tükenmişlik Ölçeği ile güçlü yakınsak geçerlik, Hayat Sevgisi Ölçeği ile güçlü yordayıcı geçerlik, Kompulsif Yeme Davranışı Ölçeği ile ise güçlü ayırt edici geçerlik göstermiştir. Ölçeğin final versiyonu, her biri 3 maddeden oluşan iki alt ölçekten oluşmuştur: Detoksla Başa Çıkma İhtiyacı ve İş Tatmini İçin Detoks İhtiyacı.

A mixed-method approach involving qualitative interviews (n = 96), a feedback pilot study (n = 87) with a committee approach, a scale development study (n = 172), and a validation study (n = 308) through Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses. The scale was validated with 4 other scales i.e. it showed a strong convergent validity with global job satisfaction scale and teacher’s burnout scale, showed a strong predictive validity with the love of life scale and strong discriminant validity with the compulsive eating scale. The final scale revealed two subscales each having 3 items: Detox Coping Need and Detox Work Satisfaction Need. The scale demonstrated high internal consistency (α = .864). The scale offers a reliable and robust instrument for assessing digital detox needs and helping to enhance teachers’ well-being in the educational environment for counsellors and educational psychologists.</p>
