<p>This study is a literature review conducted to examine studies published between 2016 and 2025. This study aims to highlight the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence technologies in palliative care. This review was conducted by searching PubMed and Google Scholar databases between 2016 and 2025 using keywords such as “palliative care and artificial intelligence” and “palliative care and artificial intelligence.” The initial search yielded 747 records (PubMed: 541, Google Scholar: 206), and after duplicate removal and title/abstract screening, 43 studies were included in the final analysis. Conducted in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guideline, the data were reported thematically according to technology type and clinical application areas.Palliative care is a comprehensive healthcare model that aims to improve the quality of life for patients and their families in the advanced stages of life-threatening illnesses. With the development of artificial intelligence technologies today, its use in palliative care has increased. The use of artificial intelligence technology in palliative care offers significant opportunities for nurses to improve the quality of care, while ethical challenges and potential problems in patient care continue. Therefore, this review aims to highlight the opportunities and challenges offered by artificial intelligence technologies for nurses to provide quality services in palliative care.</p></trans-abstract>
