                                                                                                <abstract><p>This  study  tries  to  explore  a  deeper understanding  of  the  facts  of  women workers.    The    qualitative    approach makes  it  possible  to  examine  directly the individual experiences of women. By adopting  a  life  story,  which  provides  a connection  with  the  past,  this  study aims to understand the meaning of work for  a  woman. Wıththis  aim,  the  life story of Z.S who works as a kitchen staff isinterviewedin the study. By examining the   individual   experience   in   depth through  a  life  story,  this  study  shows that  the  meaning  of  work  for  a  woman is  not  just  gaining  a  living  but  also includes how a woman perceives gender beliefs  and  how  the  specific  events  of the  past  have  been  reflected  in  her working life.</p></abstract>
