KAREFAD is transitioning to a continuous publication model...As part of its efforts to streamline publication processes through new infrastructure improvements, the DergiPark Academic Platform is offering journals various publishing model options. In this context, as an important opportunity for transformation in line with contemporary publishing standards that prioritize speed, accessibility, and timeliness in scientific communication, our Editorial Board has decided that KAREFAD will continue its publication life with the ‘Continuous Publication’ model as of December 1, 2025. The continuous publication model is increasingly adopted in academic journal publishing and involves publishing research outputs immediately upon completion of the peer review and editorial processes, assigning a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number, and providing permanent access. Thus, readers will be able to access new articles added to our journal regularly throughout the year.

This model will contribute to the faster circulation of scientific knowledge, increased visibility for researchers, and higher citation potential.Aiming to be a pioneer in its field, KAREFAD will not only strengthen its compliance with international publishing standards through this transformation, but will also support the principles of open science, digital academic communication, and rapid access to information. Thanks to this new model, our journal aims to provide its authors with a more efficient publication process while also providing our readers with up-to-date, high-quality, and continuously accessible content, along with the potential to increase our journal's visibility and impact in international indexes (DOAJ, EBSCO, etc.).We believe that this important step, which reinforces KAREFAD's pioneering role in its field, will provide valuable contributions to all our stakeholders and pave the way for new successes.
