The mainpurpose of the study is to examine the theoretical development of strategicmanagement is to uncover the most studied topics in literature and Turkey totry to determine its position relative to other countries by putting forwardthe existing indicators on the international arena. Within the scope ofbibliometric analysis; 40 conferences (1910 proceeding paper) under the titleof “strategic management” between 1975 and 2019 in the Web of Sciencedatabase and the studies published in the 5 most important journals (17187articles) according to Google h-5 index were examined.As a result ofthe analysis, the most frequently repeated keywords were respectively;performance, innovation, strategy, firm performance and resource dependency. Inaddition, the link strength and frequency of repetition between these wordswere determined. Countries were compared in terms of number of publications andcitations made by the number of citations and Turkey ranks 7th out of 66countries in the ranking. In terms of the number of publications, it ranks21st. It ranks 56th in terms of the ratio of the total number of citations tothe total number of publications. In addition, congresses in the field ofstrategic management; in terms of number of Turkey-based studies were veryimportant but in terms of citation rate, articles published in scientificjournals has been found to be much more preferred.
Bu çalışmanıntemel amacı, stratejik yönetim alanının gelişimini teorik olarak inceleyerek,literatürde en çok çalışılan konuları ortaya çıkarmak ve Türkiye’ninuluslararası alandaki mevcut göstergelerini ortaya koyarak diğer ülkelere görekonumunu belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Bibliyometrik analiz kapsamında Web ofScience veri tabanındaki 1975-2019 yılları arasında “stratejik yönetim”başlığı altındaki 40 konferans vetoplam 1910 bildiri metni ile Google h-5 endeksinde bulunan 5 dergideyayınlanmış toplam 17187 makale incelenmiştir.Yapılan analizler sonucunda, en sık tekrarlanan anahtarkelimelerin sırasıyla performans, inovasyon, strateji, firma performansı gibikelimeler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca bu kelimeler arasındaki bağlantıgücü ve birlikte tekrarlanma sıklıkları tespit edilmiştir. Ülkelerin atıfsayısı ve yayın sayısı bakımından karşılaştırılmaları sonucu Türkiye atıfsayısında 66 ülke arasında 7. ve yayın sayısında 21. sıradadır. Toplam atıfsayısının toplam yayın sayısına oranı bakımından ise 56. sırada yer almaktadır.Buna ilaveten alandaki kongrelerin Türkiye kökenli çalışmaların sayısıbakımından büyük önem taşıdığı ancak uluslararası atıf alma oranı bakımındanbilimsel dergilerde yayınlanan makalelerin çok daha fazla tercih edildiğitespit edilmiştir.
